Remember, most people make a judgement on a listing within the first few seconds of seeing the exterior. Help cast your home in a positive light with a few simple steps.
With snow covering the lawn and exterior of your home, there’s not much to say for curb appeal in the winter. Or is there? There are lots of steps you can take to add some appeal to your home’s exterior this winter. Here are a few to get your started:
• Keep the driveway and walkways clear. Not partially clear, but completely free of snow, ice and debris.
• Be sure you’ve stored away any seasonal furniture and items. Not only will you be preserving the items, but also showing potential buyers you care about your possessions including your home.
• Keep a door mat outside the entrance so you, as well as guests, can wipe your shoes before heading inside. Not only will it be functional, but it will also add a homey feel to the front entrance.
• Foliage isn’t only for the other half of the year. Shrubs in plant pots, winter wreaths and even evergreen trees will add colour and life to your exterior.
